I’m a host, show-runner, and digital creator fortunate enough to forge a career covering the things I love- namely gaming, technology, and entertainment. I am deeply passionate about my work, and want to share that feeling with others in an open, inclusive way. I believe the many forms of art and entertainment are key to how humans connect with and understand the greater world. It matters, and I treat it that way.

I started my career as an Emmy-winning broadcast journalist, but I parried my skills over into creating my own talk show, Nerd Alert, which I hosted, wrote, and executive produced on the TYT Network where I was a full-time cast member and show-runner for over 5 years.

I’ve also hosted and appeared on several outlets including USA Today Tech, CNET, Marvel Games’ Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Future Revolution, Wizards of the Coasts’ Magic: Manastrike, ET Live, Collider, Nerdist, Warner Bros. Pictures Marketing, The Young Turks (flagship show and all Network channels), Seeker Daily, Discovery News, Geek & Sundry, Hyper RPG, Dungeons & Dragons Official, CollegeHumor, The Saturn Awards, Super League Gaming.

It’s a little embarrassing for me (and anyone) to describe what makes me good at what I do, so I’ll let some of my Twitter followers do it below. I specifically asked why Nerd Alert was appealing for them and this is what they said :

Being new to the “nerd” world, what I liked most was that I never felt judged for NOT knowing things

As nerdy woman I liked that a woman was the driving force behind it & was the show presenter. Also that it touched on many subjects.

The main thing I loved about the show was you! I think you're funny, I liked your views and that you're passionate about what you're talking about. I loved the show because of the subjects that were covered and because the presenters always seemed to be having a good time.

For me the main thing about it was your excitement about nerdy stuff. It got me feeling all nerdy too. My highlight was when you watched wonder woman and almost exploded from joy and excitement. That was real (and sweet to see). Also, you're hilarious.

The thing I loved most about Nerd Alert was you came across as a genuine person talking about things you were interested in. Which IMO made the show way more interesting than other shows, where people seem forced to go through a list of topics.

I enjoyed how honest your show was about nerd culture. You never gave in to any "peer pressure" wave about anything! If something was wrong, or hurtful, or just didn't work- you said it. I loved your show. If you create your own show it will be my 1st stop for nerd news & culture

I'm a casual geek. I'm don't keep up with most nerd things. I watched Star Wars, loved Star Trek, play some video games, but am not a gamer or hard core fan. I liked your insights and feel of the show and you turned me on to things I wanted to take time to actually watch.
