My career was born in journalism and raised in modern digital media content. The things that drive me are empathy through entertainment and human innovation becoming reality. I’m a host, show-runner, and digital creator fortunate enough to forge a career covering the things I love- namely gaming, technology, and entertainment.
AS A HOST
I am known by my audience for having an authentic and reliable point of view not spoiled by the “must consume” vibe that permeates a lot of nerd-centric content. I really do my homework-- I research, I know what I’m talking about even under a wide umbrella of topics, and I know how to distill difficult and seemingly uninteresting topics into why they actually are compelling and how they matter. My genuine enthusiasm and spot-on honesty always come through, mainly because I am extremely curious and awful at lying. Basically, I’m a journalist who switched over to become a digital media host early on, so I approach things with a duality uncommon in my field.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE
I pride myself on being more than just “the talent.” I am primarily a host who can write scripts and articles, produce, edit video, live-report, field-report, interview, and enterprise my own shows, segments, and daily content. I created Nerd Alert, but I also built it, evolved its editorial voice, and grew it as a brand with minimal intervention. I’m strong as both a leader and a teammate.
I can also talk and lead a fun and engaging show for an alarming amount of time without a teleprompter. Alarming.
